Terry Pastor
Terry Pastor artist & print maker is probably best known for his iconic album artwork for David Bowie’s Hunky Dory and Ziggy Stardust. Terry was born in rural Surrey in 1946 to an English mother and Austrian father.
Terry has been lucky through his career to meet and work with some great artistes and musicians. Some of the artists who have influenced Terry are Rene Magritte, Salvadore Dali, Paul Wunderlich, Konrad Klapheck, Johannes Vermeer, James Rosenquist, the list is endless.
Terry’s credits include album covers for the Beach Boys, Alex Harvey, The Sweet, Carl Palmer, Soft Machine and many other artistes, along with book covers for best-selling authors Arthur C Clark, Jeffrey Archer, Mickey Spillane, Colleen McCullough, Len Deighton, Brian Aldiss, Michael Crichton, Ed McBain and Leslie Thomas.
In 2010 his artwork and design for the Ziggy Stardust album was published by the Royal Mail for the Classic Album Cover Stamps featuring ten of the most iconic record album sleeves and in 2017 his artwork for David Bowie’s Hunky Dory album has been published on a Royal Mail stamp.
Terry Pastor’s work has been exhibited in London, New York, Munich, Amsterdam and The British Contemporary Art exhibition in Sweden which included the work of Francis Bacon and Peter Blake. Terry's work has been featured in the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.
